The excursion takes place over half a day. The hour-long ascent by the trail is accessible to all.
The forest which covers the massif is well known for its baobabs but it is rich in many species, some of which are increasingly rare. It is adorned with many colors thanks to the variety of trees present.
The place is also famous for its historical past. It is first and foremost the oldest archaeological site on the island.
There are also ruins from the time when the French settled in Madagascar, as well as a war memorial reminiscent of the liberation of Antsiranana in 1942.
This small mountain can pride itself on being a witness to the island's old and newer history.
