Ocean Lodge in Sakalava Bay : a paradise for kitesurfers and windsurfers of all levels.

Perfect Amazing place at sakalava bay. Nice and clean bungalows. Nice restaurant for breakfast lunch and diner. Amazing staff and good equipment for kite surf. Highly recommended. It’s disconnected so you should bring what you need extra. The beach is clean and the spot is perfect to learn kite surf or for experienced kite surfers. Loved it.

I've spent some lovely nights at the Ocean Lodge and many good meals. The team takes great care of the guests and is very attentative, be it for the accommodation, restaurant, bar or wind-/kitesurf school and rental. I love their home-made foie-gras and will be back once travel restrictions ease!

Perfect kitesurf spot We first stayed in a different hotel; but switched as soon as we could to Ocean Lodge. There aren’t many places around, so we soon found out that Ocean Lodge is basically the place to be if you want to have a nice dinner. That’s how we found it and found out why it was fully booked aswell. Luckily we extended our stay and as said we moved to Ocean Lodge. Close to the kiteschool so I didn’t have to get up too early, close to the hostel (cause that’s where the party was at) and in our own comfortable cabin. The lodges are spacious, clean and comfortable and they have hot water; which is always nice. The view on the beach is amazing and everything is more than comfortable. The only sidenote is that only the owner speaks English, the rest of the staff is trying; but also quickly revert to french as soon as you ask questions. Seeing as my french is as good as their english; it led to some akward conversations. That aside; the staff is superfriendly and ready to help you with anything; which is perfect in an area where everyone is kitesurfing. All in all; highly recommended and definitely a place to come back to!

Beautiful place with very nice Bungalows. They have a good kitchen with very good and varied menu. They teach kite and windsurfing. My girlfriend and I really love this place and will be back some day. The kite condition are one of the best I ever have been to. The staff are just wonderful. Everyone of them smiled the whole day and made the session special! We arrived as guest and left as friends 🙂

Everthing was perfect. The lodge is very new, the staff is super friendly and helpful! One of the best thing is the restaurant which belongs to the lodge. The menu changes every day and everything was fresh and super tasty! On our arrival I recognized that my Board was nearly broken (transport damage) and the guys fixed it for me. The kite spot is amazing, flat water in the bay and some waves over the reef in front of the bay. The kite instructors had always good tips, also without booking kite lessons. Everyone of them smiled the whole day and made the session special! We arrived as guest and left as friends :).

Nice place. We had dinner here 2 times and one lunch. The quality of the food was generally good. Some of the worker was not so serviceminden. Felt almost one time that they didn't want us to eat according to the approach. Some of the stuff speak not so good English. Try to speak franch whit us witch is not so successful. Generally the place is very good location and have a good potential!
